The sea is just 400 metres away as the crow flies, although by car it’s more like 3 km. All the beaches have their own car parks. During July and August there is a municipal shuttle service linking the residence with the beaches, fare 1 euro. The buses of the Sita company pass the residence on the way to the beaches and Amalfi.

On foot:

The beach in the Fiordo of Furore is a mixture of sand and gravel which is naturally shaded. You can walk to it in about 25 minutes: on the way down the walking is easy, but it is very steep on the way back up, and only people who are fit should attempt it. The unspoilt ancient settlement is worth a visit, reached through a wild natural environment. Each year a famous event is held here in which competitors jump into the sea from a height of 25 metres.

The beach of Conca dei Marini is also a mixture of sand and gravel, with an emerald green sea. You can walk to it in about 25 minutes: on the way down the walking is easy, but it is very steep on the way back up, and only people who are fit should attempt it. You pass through the centre of Conca dei Marini, and as you make your way down the steps, you discover the ancient houses, churches, secret gardens and picturesque corners.

The beach of Capo di Conca beneath the spectacular Aragonese Tower can also be reached on foot in about 25 minutes, passing through the centre of Conca dei Marini, but the path is very steep on the way back up, and only people who are fit should attempt it. The basalt rock makes an ideal platform on the sea for whoever feels like plunging into the blue depths. There is also a swimming pool with sea water.

Only by car or bus:

The beach of Duoglio is entirely of sand, reached by a steep flight of steps that lead down from the road, or alternatively by sea, using the boats that leave from Amalfi every half an hour. Wild and truly beautiful, the strip of sand lies at the base of a spectacular rock cliff, and the water is crystalline.

The beach of Marina Grande, Amalfi. What an emotion it is to bathe from the beach at Amalfi, surrounded by the treasures of its historical centre stretching down to the water’s edge! As you walk along the beach or swim out into the bay, you can admire the belltower of the famous Cathedral and the historic residences on the hillside. The beach is a mixture of sand and gravel and well equipped, with bathing establishments and excellent restaurants.

The beach of la Vite is entirely of sand, reached by a steep flight of steps that lead down from the road, or alternatively by sea, using the boats that leave from Conca dei Marini. Wild and truly beautiful, the strip of sand lies at the base of a spectacular rock cliff, and the water is crystalline.

The gravel beach of Santa Croce can be reached by a steep flight of steps that lead down from the road, or by boats that leave from Amalfi every half an hour. Wild and truly beautiful, it has a natural arch, grottoes and sea the colour of emerald.
